We've driven our old cars all over the place - a 1500 mile trip is par for the course. We wouldn't even think about trailering except for the race cars. Its part of the fun. Too each his own - your limitation on insurance would preclude you using them as regular cars. Too bad - they make nice cross country tourers and there is plenty of room for what you really need.

Had a friend that had his cars loaded and driven to wherever he was going by someone else and he flew there, played with them and then they were loaded up and towed home again. Aside from being an expensive way to go, I always felt he was missing out on some of the fun doing it that way.

Current fleet:
1957 Jamaican bodied MGA
1958 MGA Twin Cam (race car)
1962 MGA Deluxe Coupe
1971 Jensen Interceptor
2009 Pontiac Solstice GXP Coupe
2007 BMW Z4M coupe
Recently departed: 1965 Jensen CV8, 1969 Lamborghini Islero S, 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT, 1969 MGC roadster

We have the Sky for "normal" driving but my car is no longer in the category of normal. LOL

And when traveling with a big group, having all our stuff along in a roomy quad cab is very nice

Plus since the wife had both knees replaced she can't sit in the small car for days.

Easy: Is your coupe listed on the coupe registry? If not post the vin # and I will enter it.

Well the first day of travel was fun

We had hours of monsoon rain and one of the cars had its high pressure fuel pump
Fail. Doctor Dave came to the rescue when he swapped the pump out of a trailered car into the failed one. We made it!

Wow! Nice to have Dr Dave on call. When mine went I was still able to drive at about 50 mph. My 2 hour journey home took 5 hours.

Well,
We are here. Nice hotel. Nice people. Very rustic local got everything off loaded and stowed. Beer consumed. Start cleaning up tomorrow

Hello Rob and Team.

I'll be headed to the Vista House WaterFall Run headed the opposite direction of you. Hope to meet you in the middle. Just look for the blue Flames in your headlights!

The plan is to get some breakfast then clean up the cars. The trip left them sad!

Then register and see what transpires. This afternoon I need to set up some of the lights !
