Kappa Parts Weight List

Ok so I spent a couple hours today stripping down this Sky Redline we have so it can be turned into a track car. I weighed everything I took off of it and wrote down the numbers. There's still a bunch of stuff I need to take off, but here's a start to my list. All these weights are in pounds, and obviously are for a Sky. Most of these parts weights would be the same or pretty close for a Solstice though too. If anyone has any accurate weights to add let me know. (These were all done with a pretty accurate digital scale used for weighing bicycles.)

Some of the numbers are kind of interesting. I think the total weight I pulled off of this car in a couple hours was over 300 lbs. The rear shocks are topped out just sitting there already! I'm thinking keeping it still able to drive it should be down to around 2400 lbs.

Kappa parts weights-

Complete top assembly = 65.5 lbs.
Drivers seat = 42.86
Passenger seat = 41.25
Battery = 31.25
Tail lights = 4.08 (each)
A pillar inside trim = 1.9
Sunvisors = 1.3
AM-FM antenna mount = .6
Wiper blades = 1.8
Door panels = 7.35 (each)
Passenger airbag = 7.62
Upper dash panel = 4.22
Monsoon subwoofer = 9.8
Monsoon amp = 2.12
Onstar module/bracket = 2.92
Drivers side carpet = 5.92
Passenger side carpet = 5.04
Center carpet = 7.52
HVAC case complete = 20.12
Deck lid liner = 2.08
Misc console parts = 6.36
Firewall sound deadener = 7.52
Defroster ducts = 3.02
Radio = 5.6
Outside HVAC case = 4.2
Door and front sill plates = 2.8
Rear 1/4 trim panels w speakers = 2.5 (each)
Dash carrier (plastic) = 9.2
Misc dash pieces = 7.16
Panel behind seats = 9.75
Front fenders (stock) = 6.3
Front fenders (Norm's) = 3.5 (?)

Got a few more today...

Seat belt retractors = 3.5 (each)
A/C condenser = 5.04
All A/C lines = 2.54
A/C compressor = 13.55
Decklid actuator = 3.0
Stock turbo = 18.0
Drivers airbag = 2.56
Door glass = 5.6 (each)
Door weatherstrips, regulator and motor, speaker and all door wiring = 12.0 (each door)

So at least I got the answer to the A/C delete question, definitely NOT worth it unless it's gonna be a track car. If you pulled out ALL the HVAC and heater stuff, it would barely amount to 50 lbs! That's taking out the entire HVAC case inside and out, compressor, condenser and all lines, all duct work and control head even.

Other members contributions... (Thanks!)

Stock Catalytic Converter = 10.5 lbs.
Solo high flow Cat = 6 lbs.

How easy is the top to unbolt? i.e. If I took it out before a race and put it in afterwards?
