Turbo swaps - PTE5558 vs K04
My '06 is gradually getting relegated to "parts car" status.
It occurred to me that it has a very not-cheap Precision 5558 turbo. How does that compare to the K04? For those that have swapped turbos, how do you handle the coolant lines and boost control? I'd guess that it's okay to remove / block off the coolant lines going to the turbo. Oil feed and return is trivial.
What sort of flange does the K04 have? (T3/T4, some weird GM-specific thing?)
