Sunshine State Solmates logo proposal.

Alrighty, here's something I threw together based around LUVnSOL's ideas with a few of my own revisions. I don't consider this a finished product, but I'd like advice/opinions on where to go from here. I'm thinking 320x240 is a good and universal size - wish I could've found and cut out a brighter Solstice, but I figure this'll get the idea across.

Tools: MS Paint/Image Composer (circa 1998).
Solstice image "borrowed" from Pontiac.

How about a silhouette of a Sol on the beach, with the sun rising just above it.

Well, if you're bored enough and want to try and work on something, the ideas I had to work with were -

Obviously, implement the sun/sunshine somehow.
Of course, the Solstice will be involved.
Color scheme should be something representative of Florida (bright, tropical).
The idea is a "fun" club logo, a reflection of our lifestyles (i.e. Solstii).

LUVnSOL also had the idea of doing something with a tri-S interlock (which I couldn't find a way to work in).

I suppose my next step will be to try and implement a beach-type backdrop that'll give the name a more banner-like appearance, but if anyone wants to try and make an improvement or come up with their own work altogether, I'm certain the club would be thankful.

This is my thought. Very rough draft. Cheap software, and I don't claim to be a pro...

Garage
I suggest something semi simplistic too so it can be used for black & white print, and small prints like business cards. I had been thinking of ideas too to make for SOlsticeforum.com/skyroadster.com business cards to leave on cars I find. For a local FL one maybe a FL state silhoute with one of the several Solstice silhoutes like on teh 1st 1000 badge. Solforum.com link with the Sunshine State Solmates around a pick of the sun in a circle around it.

I also suggest the GIMP, it's free and easy.

Also Paint.NET.

Great idea - anyone happen to have the pixel dimensions of a business card?

An outline of the State of Florida...where the northern border (Pensacola to Jacksonville) is the Solstice silhouette:

Some good ideas

Xanath - good to see your back online - LovnSol told us you were having some serious problems - hope you are doing better - you didn't get to see The Redhead last week - hope you can come in a couple of weeks to the June run.

#637 - 10/28/05 - "The Redhead" - Agressive w/black leather - all packages - standard radio - added Zyoxx 18" black and red rims, rocker panel graphics, dual racing stripe, windscreen graphics, painted engine covers, painted calipers with graphics, stubby antenna, kappashield, chromies, chrome wire loom, kappa floor mats (sometimes diamond plate mats), kappa racing pedals, and splash guards. OVER 135,000 MILES!
