Purchased 9/1974 as a basket-case and built into this beauty. Took 8 years to build - no internet or Ebay back then - had to use HD dealers, local bike shops, swap meets, and want-ads for parts. I did most of the work myself except for welding and paint. I call this the Frankentrike because all of the parts used to build it were from many different years. The frame is a 1936, tranny is a 1940 (started as a 1936 like the frame but I trashed the main shaft and case), forks are 1946, rear axle is 1969, and the engine is a 1956. There are many aftermarket and custom parts used as well.
