First off long time lurker but never posted here.

I have a 2008 solstice gxp with just 16k miles on it. I recently had the car shut off while driving it and would not restart. All electric worked however the starter wouldn't do anything when turning key.

The car displayed code u2105 and u2106. I had it towed to a shop who replace blown 60amp fuse for bcm and they traced wires and couldn't find a issue.

1 month later had the same issue. This time I sent car to dealer to look at it. They stated the same fuse blew again and that its a bad ground.

In order to fix the ground issue they claim they need to remove my air conditioning lines to reach the ground point. To then reinstall and recharge the ac system they are quoting me $540.

Does this sound right? If there is any more info that would be helpful let me know? I just don't want to pay for something that is unnecessary.

Thanks,

There is a ground connection by the battery, and that does not require to take the AC off.
