2007 Solstice SS

Could it happen?...
If Pontiac decides to be ... ahem, more competitive.
After all, they are the Performance Division.

None taken. ;)

I figured that if they want a higher hp output
for less money they would go the way of the ram-air and ss:
force air induction. Of course being a high compression engine,
that might not work. Just trying I guess.

No, you're not far off... My engine is a 10.1:1 with functional ram air... It's great. A big gust of wind hits my hood while I'm sitting at a light and the RPMs kick up! Kind of a cool feeling.

Eww... No offense, but that hood scoop looks dirty on the fine lines of the Sol.
Wow, just the opposite reaction from me, I like the whole thing (except maybe the park light pockets). I especially like the hood scoop.

If this is a photoshop, then keep them coming.

Because they all have their tags... Chevy is SS, Pontiac is GTP, Saturn is Redline... And so on.
Exactly, and when you hear SS you immediately think of Chevy, and it's been that way for over 40 years. I think it would blur lines, and that's exactly what GM doesn't need to be doing now.

Older Pontiac designations were Sport and Sprint. There was also H.O. (High Output) and SD or Super Duty. The earliest hint of a Pontiac 2-seater was known as the 1964 (XP-833) Banshee (...Solstice Banshee?). That would have happened if PMD General Manager "Pete" Estes and his successor, John DeLorean would have had their way rather than being force fed the F-Body that would become the Firebird (GM-X)... :willy: but GM didn't want a less expensive competitor for the 'Vette... :willy:

I have to say, I don't hate it ;)

I'm particularly drawn to the upper right corner :yesnod:

This version of the solstice is a bit
agressive.
You either like it or not.
Just like the Firebird. ;)
Then again, I own a T/A and still like it.
Hope they bring it back but it does not seem like
it in the near future.

Now,
If it was me.
I would make the Solstice lighter than it is.
Then drop a v6 from the CTS.
Force induce it to a supercharger.
Then add Brembo brakes.

Thanks for all comments. None ignored or taken bad.
