Thought I would start this thread off with hotel and dinner info etc and then Jackl can follow up with times and route.....

Upcoming SSOOO Niagara Run – Saturday August 10th 2013

Hotel Booking info now confirmed as follows:

Sheraton on The Falls (same Hotel as last year)
Have secured a preferred rate as follows….
10 rooms on hold “City View” $249.00 plus tax
10 rooms on hold “Falls View” $289.00 plus tax

They are available to book as of this Friday May 10th until June 26th, 2013. After that you have to pay full rate.

Will have our own reserved parking area same as last year in the covered Casino Niagara lot adjacent to hotel I Think it was $25.00 or free with Casino players advantage card ( PAC)

Dinner 6pm - Hard Rock Club (adjacent to Hard Rock Café) same as last year:willy:

SSOOO Annual Run to Niagara Falls - 2013 Edition

Run Date: Saturday August 10
Meet: 9:00am
First Group Departure: 10:30am
Start Location: Tim Horton, Sheridan Mall, Mississauga, Ontario (north of QEW Highway on Erin Mills Parkway)

Tentative Itinerary

Saturday August 10, 2012 Run to Niagara Falls
Lunch enroute in St.Catherines
Saturday August 10, 2012 Overnight in Niagara Falls
Sunday August 11, 2012 Everyone departs Niagara Falls and goes finds their way home

NorthernSol (Gareth) and myself are planning a great run and evening in Niagara Falls.

Preliminary planning underway for a return of the August run from Mississauga along the Niagara Escarpment into Niagara Wine Country, Port Dalhousie, Niagara on the Lake, Niagara Parkway arriving in Niagara Falls.

Again we are planning to stay overnight in Niagara Falls and arrange for some time to get together and enjoy the falls, casino, etc..

I have been in Buffalo since June with Tarantula Sky:yawn:... is this event still a go? does it start on the Canadian side? I am about 30 miles from the boarder in Williamsville, NY... Please feel free to contact me.

We do not cross to the US side. We finish up around 3 to 4 pm on the CDN side. Have group parking in the covered parking lot adjacent to Casino Niagara. People walk / wander around the falls or a couple of hours and then we meet for dinner at 6pm at the Hard Rock Club adjacent to Hard Rock Cafe. We have the whole club as our private dining room until 9pm.

Let us know if you want to join the run and I will try to figure out with Jackl a meet up place / time for you. Or you could join us at the beginning at Sheridan Mall in Mississauga parking near Tim Hortons at 9am.

Looks like you guys and gals will have some great top down weather this weekend. We would loved to have joined you but have other committments plus I scored a couple of free tickets to the Blue Jays game for Saturday against the Oakland A's. Have fun and be safe.
