Dan. We are always looking for someone to put together an Mkc cruise. We try to schedule an event every other week during the season. We have done tours including the tunnel of trees but it's been a few years now. That stretch is tough to do on weekends because you end up behind motor homes etc. It also means an overnight for most so attendance in the past has been minimal. Go for it and see what interest there is.

I agree with WickedMike, if it requires an overnight stay, it depends on where we go and what we do for that event. Not ruling it out, it just has to be worth the extra drive.

Dan, if you want to put something together for next summer, do so. Especially if it is during the week the tunnel of tree would be a great cruise with additional nice areas. I could be interested in attending. One member last year talked about getting a run into the UP but it never developed. More runs the better!

Was up to the Gilmore museum (Hickory Corners, MI) last month and came back along the Lake using the Blue Star Highway and Red Arrow Highway from South Haven to Indiana, was a very pleasant and calm ride. Several good places to stop right along the shoreline.

Enjoyed the Tunnel of Trees the previous year, it was mid October and slightly rainy, so no one else was on the road.

Kappas should really check out the Old US 27 tour which goes straight up the middle of Michigan from Coldwater to Cheboygan. No planning is necessary, just sign up and go, no muss,no fuss! A ready made cruise and a car show in every town. :) It's always the weekend after the Dream Cruise. Mostly two lane highway, speeds averaging around 60-ish & a police escort the whole way. Last year we had over 400 cars when we got to Clare.
