I will be running a run to the town of Jim Thorpe, PA on Wednesday, June 18. This run will be perfect for everyone that will be coming early. It's a very scenic drive to the great town of Jim Thorpe. There are a lot of twisties on the route. We will park at a public lot all the way at the end by ourselves.

Things to do in Jim Thorpe:

• Asa Packer Mansion
• Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway Train Ride
• Coal Mine & Museum Tour
• Bear Mountain Butterfly Sanctuary
• Jim Thorpe's Grave
• Various Eateries

While in town you can also visit an old candy store, a real 5+10, and the Mauch Chunk Opera House.

I highly recommend this trip because the route is so much fun to drive, and the town is very quaint with lots of shops and restaurants. It's a neat, quirky place to visit and if you desire, you can take a one hour train ride along the river.
