Here are a few pics of #672 Mysterious. Whoever this car belongs to now, you'd better stock up on wax and diapers. There were fingerprints all over this thing! I was amazed at how little the representatives knew about the car. "They only made 1000 of them, but if they're popular they'll probably make a few more." What?! Where have you been? Pull your head outta there and pay attention! I thought long and hard about tieing (sp?) one of them up, stealing his uniform, and informing the public of the truth. But I want to enjoy mine from outside the prison bars.

What a gorgeous car! I haven't seen pictures yet that truly do it justice up close and personal (including mine. I was really disappointed to see that you just can't capture the Solstice in 2D.) It made the Panoz Esperante look like a cheap kit car, Porshes look like everyday common coupes, and the Ferrari F430 like a pretentious snob. The Ferrari is drop-dead gorgeous, that's all there is to it. It's like the ultra super model that everyone's afraid to ask out, where the Solstice is your long lost tomboy best bud from childhood that grew up, filled out and models lingerie for a living.

I've read from others' posts and reviews that you sit low in the car, but I didn't think I'd feel like a midget! I'm 6 feet, and I felt like the little grandmas you see on the highway that can't see over the steering wheel. And the shifter has more throw in it than it looks like it should. Anyway, enough of my editorial, here are the pictures:

And a few to grow on: I'm not a big fan of the SSR, but this custom was toooooo cool! And for any vintage bike fans out there, check out this Norton Commando 850 I found on the way back to my car.

That is a pre-production model not a 1st 1K car.
the Vin # on the picture is 100672 and not 000672 like the 1st 1K.

That would explain why the gaps are so tight on this car vs pictures of production models that have been posted.

If that is you in picture #2, how tall are you? and how did you fit?- Did you have a lot of visibility looking out through the windshield? (from your eyes to the top of the windshield?)

I'm 6'0" and was really surprised at how big the car is inside! It looks a lot smaller than it felt. Visibility was fine for me, but there were so many others wanting to work the top and try everything out that I didn't get to see what visibility was like out the back with the top. But really, you sit down IN this thing. My friend that was with me is about 5'10" and 220. He sat in it and just giggled "I like it when my car hugs me." Not the Macho-est thing to say about the Solstice, but a compliment none the less. Maybe he can get a pink one?
