I've never treated the top with anything besides soap and water. The car gets washed at least once a week and clay barred every 3 months with a coat of liquid glass and tech wax to follow.

I've wondered about that clay bar method but affraid I would f>>>it up and wreck the finish but yours looks pretty good. We already use the tech wax which is awesome stuff.

There's nothing to mess up with a clay bar. Just keep it really wet with meguires showtime. Light pressure is all you need. All you're doing is using a tiny bit of friction to pull contamination out of the clearcoat. It really makes a difference the darker the paint is.

Just go get the meguires clay bar kit from auto zone. It's 20 well spent

Nice car! I also do a Meguires claybar treatment once a year and the trick is to use their detailer to keep it moist as you are doing it.I follow it up with Meguires carnuba wax and then another spray of detailer to get the wax dust off . After I wash my car I use a squeegee (California Car Cover) and blow off all the areas I can't reach with an electric blower then follow it up with some spray as you wipe wax.I use this stuff on the glass and lights and it keeps the bugs from sticking and gives it a nice shine.
