Has anyone installed after market heated seats on their Solstice yet? I'm wondering how easy/difficult the job is on leather seats. This is one of the first mods I'm planning on.

Check out this other thread. The heater works great in this car. Heated seats might be over kill. You might want to wait and see. Of course it can't hurt to research the possibilites.....

I have seen aftermarket kits for installing heaters, you can take them to an upolstery shop and they can install them with little trouble...

It's on my list of "things to do". I want to be sure the heaters won't interfere with the passenger sensing system, though. The upholstery looks like it comes off pretty easy (though I haven't taken it off yet). There are even zippers on the seat backs!

Exactly why...

Exactly why I got cloth instead of leather. Smaller cockpit, good heater....so I don't need any more draw on the electrical system, plus it's a "toy" car for me so I won't be driving in too much cold weather. Overkill!

Surfing the miatanet website this seat warmer seemed to come highly recommended and they have GM approved kits.

No personal experience with them though. $500 for both installed. I likely will get them but I drive top down into the 40s.

Heated seats are a good idea in our area, it would extend the drop down season for at least a month.
