Sold my 08 last year but there was something missing in my life ever since. Then today I picked up Sequential Coupe #17! 4040 miles on it. Everything like brand new inside...even smells new. It was an old guy’s garage ornament for 10 years and a buddy of his inherited it when he passed away. The old guy wasn’t too careful when cleaning the outside but it won’t take much work to get the paint looking like new again. They’re still trying to locate the two soft tops he bought for it but they’ll get sent my way when they’re found!

Same combo as my 08...but they only made 26 coupes in it so I had to wait a long time to nab one...and one with hardly any miles was impossible to pass up! Seller posted it on Saturday morning with no pics or price and had about 25 calls by the end of the day. Glad I was only 250 miles away! I think he washed bird poops off of it with a Brillo pad though 😞. Should be able to recondition the paint. Under the front end? Perfect. Never even scratched the pavement or a speed bump. No dings or dents at all. Apparently the old guy saw a red coupe with killer aftermarket rims and tires on it and he decided to buy a set as well but never put them on. He was a hoarder...they’re hidden somewhere among the mountains of stuff but I’m in touch w the family friend who’s working to find ‘em.

Agree - and like waving a red flag at a bull, where the bull is the cops! Actually, I think studies have discounted the old thought that red cars get more tickets, but they look like they should!

terndude, get those original equipment tires changed as soon as possible, they are way past their life limits in terms of time. They may look good on the outside, but most likely are checking and cracking on the inside. Get them checked out ASAP.

Just a word to the wise.

It was posted on AutoTrader Friday evening - no pics and no price listed... jsut the dealer contact info. I had found it there and texted back and forth with the dealer that evening (very nice and responsive man), who actually walked out and some photos to send to me. Saturday morning they came up with a stated firm price, but with the unkowns of distance purchase, and the 1K miles from home, I backed away... knowing someone closer would be getting a good deal, and am glad that "Bam!, it went to a loving home :smile2:

Congratulations again, and yes we’d like to hear the rest o& the story. Price would be nice but it’s value is what one is worth paying for.
Enjoy the achievement of a great find and a fun car. Congratulations

I was sure they'd get plenty of calls about it and had a feeling someone else on here had at least tried to get a price and some pics. I put a deposit down over the phone on Saturday, drove the family to a hotel across the river in Oregon, and then drove up Sunday to get the car. Well worth the trouble!! The included soft top shipped today and there's a second one up there in the old guy's barn-heap of stuff somewhere. I had a nice chat with the seller last night...he inherited it from a friend who passed away. It was left for him to sell so he could have some extra cash on hand for his young family. Seems like the original owner was quite a character and an all around nice guy. The dealer had it on consignment and the seller happened to stop by while I was there.

I'm excited to learn more stories behind this special low-mile early sequential VIN car! It was one of 20 Aggressive Red 5-spd GXP Coupes produced for the US market in the sequential batch and because 000001 was kept by GM this was the first of the 20 sold to the public.

terndude: Not exactly true about being one of first 20 sold to public. You have all the non-sequential ahead of you. That would be 102 before sequential started. Sure looks like you got a nice car. Enjoy
