I thought it would be useful to have an easy way to lookup specifications for both the base model and the GXP. This is going to include Torque and Tolerance, Wheel Alignment and any other Specification I happen to come across.

This is not a complete list yet. I will be adding to it over the next week or so.

I have compiled every torque spec for the car and also fluid capacities and all kinds of other things as well. I just have to get the last bunch of them formatted into tables for the forum I wrote a program that does the majority of the conversion. I am printing to PDF and then converting from PDF to CSV and then from CSV to what the forum uses. The conversion from PDF to CSV is the one that gets boogered up and I have to go in and manually correct it. It's not a huge deal as most of the stuff is correct it just takes time to read over all of it to make the corrections needed.

I have found that I can cut&paste from Excel into the forum. I do this in the 'coupe photo book' thread

I still have to convert it from PDF and that's where it's not perfect. PDF tables are screwy and they can be done several different ways. The GM shop manual was not written by a single person so the tables are not all made identically.

About the Wheel alignment, are the specs you posted here suitable for a standard alignment equipment? Or do we need to use the special tool for setting the rear.

The only adjustment that requires the special tool is the rear caster. The recommendation is that if the tool is not available the caster link should not be touched as there is no way to determine caster without the tool.

Thank you for this great resource . I just purchased/received my factory/HELM service books , but this is much nicer than flipping thru 3 volumes and untold pages to find this info . It is going to be vary handy.

yes kg has done a great job hear. does any body know if the gxp and the base have the same auto trans? or might the gxp have the 5L50E trans witch has more clutches to handle more power...
