battery

So I started my sol and it seemed like it wasn't turning over as fast as it should so I test the battery and it's at 12.05 volts. Should be 12.6 ish volts. Put my load tester on it and the battery is bad. I have to remove the passenger side front fender to get to the battery. What idiot at GM thought that was a good idea. If I didn't have the knowledge and tools to replace it myself I'd have to pay a shop to replace it. The obvious place for the battery is in the trunk and I'm going to relocate it there at some point. Arrg

I want to change my forum name to something cooler. I like Redrocket but Kenna thinks it sounds too phallic lol so I think "old school" is is appropriate. Does anyone know how to change your forum name?

I'm pretty bored, I can only read just so much. I never watch TV during the day so Kenna decided (she seems to make a lot of decisions involving us) 😂 we're going for a drive in the countryside. Her beemer is super comfortable, it has some kind of adaptive suspension that is controlled by a knob. Different modes. Comfort, sport, aggressive and a few settings for different road conditions like sand, snow, wet. My truck has a similar system but it's mainly for off road or towing. I took a pain pill for the ride, I've only been taking half tablet's so I'm not so zoned out plus I want to get off them as soon as possible. I've heard too many horror stories of people becoming addicted and continuing to take them after they actually need them and ending up homeless and shooting heroin on a sidewalk. Kenna just changed her voicemail message to say she'll be unavailable for the rest of the day so we're off. There's thousands of acres of farmland surrounding Nampa plus I'm close to the snake river and the Boise river and lake Lowell so lots of scenic driving opportunities.

You're right, tons of replica cobra's on the road. Side pipes on a solstice would be hard to do unless you went with Lambo doors which I don't really like, not enough room on the rocker panels. You could raise the door sills and cut the doors to match. It would definitely look cool without changing the original lines too much

We might as well be married, we already have a daily routine. When she wakes up she makes a pot of coffee and we lay in bed drinking it and talking. We never run out of things to talk about. She starts working at 8:00 and I usually move to my recliner and read a book. Around 10:00 we go for a walk which leaves me exhausted. Around noon she makes us lunch. And so on. We watch TV in the evening and then go to bed. It's a comfortable routine 🤗 I had forgotten how nice it is having a woman in my life.
I may have watched too many true crime murder mysteries but i wouldn't sign anything and hide the anti-freeze for while :)
Just to be safe!
Just pulling your leg, enjoy the moments you are gifted with brother!

[/Q that looks good but it would require a custom exhaust and since I have a brand new Solo exhaust I'm not going to change it anytime soon
We had a nice drive, I showed her a couple good fishing spots. While we were driving Kenna decided we need to have a Memorial day party. I need to back up, Kenna likes to drive fast and she's not what I would call a attentive drive, scared the hell out of me a few times. So she's driving and decided on a party tomorrow, so she starts calling her friends and not paying attention to her driving. I'm trying to brace myself for the crash I just knew was going to happen so at a stoplight I suggest that I dial the phone and she pays attention to her driving. So she asks me if her driving scared me and I said "hell yes" she laughed and said that we all have to die sometime which is true but hopefully not today. I have one friend coming tomorrow and six or seven of her friends so far, she's waiting to hear back from a couple other's. It's going to be a total hen fest, my friend Mike is single so he's looking forward to a bunch of single women to meet. I'm smarter than him because I know it's going to be a bunch of hens clucking and cackling and completely ignoring us guys. We'll be off to the side drinking beer and the ladies will probably be in their own little world. I don't remember even being asked if I wanted to have a party, maybe I wasn't paying attention because I thought I was going to die in a fiery car crash. I never thought love could be so scary 🤣

Does anyone knowhere I can get Saltpeter??? I keep having a problem with little Ricky waking up if you know what I mean. It doesn't help when Kenna is wearing one of my t-shirts and nothing else. Maybe a big dose of estrogen would help. 😂

The only problem with the side pipes I can see is on lowered sol/sky's the pipes may scrape going over speed bumps. If you look closely at the wheel wells the car in the picture is stock ride height

Enjoy it while it lasts...ask your doc for a PSA test , if it's been awhile. Our bodies always have little surprises waiting for us to discover them. You can always PM me about how I know. We actually do have be our own best caretaker and be aware.

Oh, and believe me you have NO complaints. Probably best post-op ever!

It's a beautiful day for a BBQ. 77 degrees with a lite breeze. Kenna bought enough hamburger to feed a army, she's making potato salad and brownies and her friends are bringing other food too. Bud lite and wine for the girls and Hefewizen for me and Mike. Should be fun. Wish all you guys were here.:)

Kenna and I worked on the A pillor gauge pod yesterday evening and got it mounted. Install was easy but I'm disappointed in DDM's lack of fit for the tweeter and microphone. On the stock piece there's little towers to mount them and the plastic is melted to hold them. The instructions say to drill out the melted plastic. To install them on DDM's piece there's no provision to mount them properly, so as per the instructions I used silicone and you have to put half inch thick globs and press the speaker mounts and microphone into the globs. For one hundred bucks I was expecting a little more refined of plastic. It does have a nice textured finish. The pictures make the gauge pods look bigger than they actually are and it doesn't block your view much at all.

I don't know, I'm sure a couple beers isn't going to hurt anything and it has yeast and wheat so it's healthy. lol

Rich I never knew (or forgot) your car has a two tone interior... Nice!
Yeah, I like it. Makes it a little different from other sol's

My cardiologist didn't tell me not to drink so that's kind of like permission, right?
