Me personally, have tried the cat-back performance exhaust from magnaflow. It gave a subtle deeper rumble, but nothing like a straight piped loud annoying fart can honda. I'd say magnaflow is the best if you buy the full cat back, but then again I havent heard what else is out there!

I know there is ddm works, zzperformance and you can get custom welded ones. But I would like to know your guy's opinions too!

My (unpopular?) opinion: The best sound is the stock exhaust because it is no louder than it needs to be.

I totally agree with you. I didn't want too too loud which is why i went for a little louder idle.
The car is loud enough like you said, its just the idle and start up was too quiet.

I will at some point buy a dual outlet exhaust system. So far, I've added a hodgepodge homemade CAI and was pleasantly surprised with how much it changed the sound. I never d installed CAIs to any of my previous cars but think the difference is bigger for the Kappas than regular cars since they don't have an intermediate muffler on the exhaust, just the one at the back and the stock system is already less restrictive and sportier than OEM systems that come installed on regular car models.

Which Magnaflow though? The single exit or dual exit? I have the dual exit with a high flow cat on my 2.4 and love it. I'm gonna add a resonator though to fix a few pesky rpm related rattles.

It did make the car sound a little more honda ish than it used too, but I feel the resonator will help that. Gonna pull the exhaust again later this week to get the resonator put in.

I had a single exit, i cant really recall it being honda ish, but it was top notch, no drone

The high flow cat made it more honda ish than anything, the magnaflow by its self was great and I loved it. The HFC kinda in some ways makes it sound like I have a titanium exhaust when its steel I guess. I love the cat's addition to the exhaust, just wanna clean up some bad harmonics that cause rattles inside around 3500-4000 rpm.

I have been looking at the clear image header, but not looking forward to potentially breaking a stud and having to deal with that. So I've yet to make a decision.

I like the one that came with my LS. ;)

I put Solo on both our cars and liked them very much. They come in several different sound levels. The Dragon has the "quiet" cat back. It has a nice sound without being loud.

I think that the best-sounding exhaust for the 2.4 is the stock exhaust from the 2.0.

soooo what’s the best exhaust on the 2.0? Is there one that highlights the turbo noise without turning the engine noise into laughing matter?
I haven't heard one that I liked, but that doesn't necessarily apply to you. I have driven with a lot of people who had "a great sounding exhaust" and didn't think any of them were anything I would want on my car. Opinions clearly vary.

I have a GXP dual exhaust on our 06 2.4. It was free, the dual exhaust valance was the expensive part. It is louder than the single exhaust, but not by much.
Ah, the good ol' days when people were giving away exhausts. I got mine that way too and yes, the valence was the expensive part.

With respect towards the subjectivity of the ask, i really like my Solo Mach Shorty on my GXP.
The oem muffler on the GXP is the size of a small oil drum so it frees up a little weight and space behind the rear bumper as well.
The Hi-Flow Cats from Solo and PAW added a nice lower octave as well.
There are quite a few threads about an audible drone noise in the coupe version of the cars’ cabins at highway speeds.
For me the only really loud part is cold start up.
Once it warms and idle drops it purrs quite nicely with 0 of the “chewbacca” noise i associate with modern aftermarket exhausts.

Yeah if you want something a bit louder than stock but no quite as aggressive as the aftermarket ones, the GXP's OE catback is your best bet. I still keep my OE one for no other reason that I might revert back to stock if I want to sell the car.

I believe coupes are more susceptible to drone than roadsters.

My exact experience on both pieces.
