The paddle shifters are a stock GM unit. The 6L90 trans is programmable so I assume Dave can adjust how it shifts. I havent seen any complaints about shifting from CTSV owners who drag race with the 6L90. From what Ive read its very reliable in stock form in cars heavier than mine with equal, or more, HP.When the paddle shifters were first being put in the KAPPAs, people were complaining the shifts were delayed or soft, did Dave solve that problem? What brand of paddles did he use? Are you going to start out doing 1/8 mile for shake down? Short wheelbase cars can be a handful on the 1/4 mile top end with that much power! Beautiful car BTW
I was hoping to hit the Route 66 Drag Strip near Daves shop, before they shut down for the end of the year, prior to bringing it home. It is a 1/4 mile track. We do have an 1/8 mile track 20 minutes from were we live so I may end up shaking it down there instead as we are quickly approaching the end of racing season. Its been over a year since Ive been behind the wheel of it and it will now be the most powerful car Ive owned to date. So, quarter or eighth, it will be baby steps before running it all out.
