My of Solstice has a burned out headlight. I go looking for a replacement and it seems that I have to buy a new plug as well.
Has anyone had this problem and is a new plug the only solution?
Dealer wants $70 for the part, plus the new blub. Times 2 EXPENSIVE!!!!

seems they don't make make blubs any more. I've checked several parts stores and one chevy dealer where I was told I would need to get new plugs as well.

Did the dealership trouble shoot it? Socket bad? You can find out by moving the working bulb to the side that doesn't work but don't touch the glass of the bulb, you'll shorten it's life.

And if you change one bulb, change them both because the other bulb typically goes out soon after the first.

I smell something fishy.... H13 will work just fine and so will 9008.... Buy a bulb yourself and replace it...just watch out for the fastners from the plug to the bulb. I would run from that service place!

I could and have gotten our bulbs anywhere...

I agree with the above.

Something is fishy here.
