Looking for a picture to show me where to find this solenoid. I intermittently have CEL and the code comes up as P0013.

Here you go. Intake and exhaust side by side. Replaced both of mine about 100K. 5 minutes DIY.

... and that's at the front of the engine (nearest the radiator).

P0013 Intake Solenoid failure caused engine light

OK I got an engine light on my coupe so I hooked up my OBD2 and fired up Torque. Error P0013 actuator solenoid.

Head over to the forum to see if any advise only to be surprised there was little to go from. So here you go. Step by Step testing and R&R of the Intake Solenoid showing erratic high ohm readings (my exhaust had solid 14.0 reading)

a day late for me. would have been nice to have these photos on Saturday when I did mine. I was getting intermittant CEL on my 06 and this weekend I finally changed the oil and I pulled both of these out tested and cleaned and put back in. I couldn't get any readings on either one. Not sure if my cheap ash meter works or what. I cleaned them and put them back in and drove it around and still got a light. from what I read, the exhaust one is probably the culprit. I think I'll borrow a good meter from work and try them again and if the same, order them. thanks for posting though.

Also check your oil level. Lots of these get replaced when they are still good.

TX I figured out that I had to get my meter probes right on the top of each diode to get a good reading. Once you do you will see it spike really high.

Blackbird is right if your oil is low the solenoid will send an error to the ECU. I was due for new oil and filters so I did that first then tested my solenoids with my multi-meter.

I know my way around an engine but sometimes it's the little things that slow you down the wire connectors on this job is just such a thing so that is why I posted this.

Also TX I was noticing a lot of bogging down on acceleration good indication it was intake. They are 50.00 each and good sense says replace both as jrdallas did. I am OCD and just couldn't sleep with out knowing which was bad.

well, I just changed the oil and I think I have it right on the mark but I did have it on ramps so it could be low. I'll check it on level ground. If I remember right, I was getting code 14 not 13 and have no bogging on accel so I think mine is the exhaust. Both were clean as a whistle but I cleaned them anyway. like I said, I have a cheap meter and when I touch the leads, the meter did not show anything until I removed one of the probes and then it flashed a number but a different one each time. since my CEL is not always on, I doubt they are both totally bad. I'd really rather just fix the problem but if it takes both then what's another 50 bucks for if anything pease of mind. I will keep you posted and again, appreciate you guys help.
