I just received an email from GM Canada. We will only be receiving 1000 cars for the 2006 MODEL YEAR. So everyone here who gets an '06 Solstice will be getting a "FIrst 1k" car.

i drive by the train yard almost everyday, and i always try to find the solstice in the crowd. nothing yet.

do you know if they are coming in on train? might be a dumb question. i'm pretty sure that they are. but being so close to the dealership, do you think that they will go on truck or be driven to the dealership?
Our vehicles are always trucked to the dealership. I suspect (just a hunch) that these may get delivered to the zone office though, in which case they would have to be driven over to the dealership (it is about a 5 minute drive). If so, I'm going to drive them over myself.

Can we not drive them over ourselves to the dealer for the paper work to be completed??? :willy: Is there any way to track where they are on the train ride? Don't worry, no joy rides. I just don't trust anyone else (what is the old saying ... if you want something done right then ....) I think it is about 10-12 km from the zone office to our store. The nearest we can determine is that they are on their way to Ohio after which they will enter into Canada through Ontario and them sent west to us. Unfortunately we don't have any real time tracking that I am aware of.

If you call GM they should be able to get that information for you.
