Certainly looks better than those other p.o.s. you described! You got screwed man!
:agree:

I think the lack of chrome, which I personally like, sometimes has a negative effect on "Show Cars". If I would do anything to your car, I would play around in the interior a bit more. Add someyellow accents. I can see you blacked out a few things, but a bit of color goes along way. Just my opinion.

Car looks great. Every car show has its own way of judging. I can tell you that as I judge a few shows every year from big to small.

Most of the time you need to score up on the sheet with Exterior, Interior, Audio/Video, Paint, Wheels suspension, and then overall wow factor.

You have a lot of that covered, but there is nothing "over the top type mods"
that I can see in the pictures. minus the Mallet motor.

You would score pretty good on my judge sheet ;)

The car looks good from the outside, I would give it some life on the inside....
Maybe a wood tone like boomerang dash would help....

Your Solstice is outstanding and there seems no way some 10-yr-old Muskrat or Caddy or MiniCoop could beat it in a carshow.
Maybe your next mod should be  to find a way to get the he!! out of Illinois? :D

Good thought. Punisher has no chrome and has trophies every time it has shown since the car was reborn. My experience is that the more custom details the better people remember the car. It does not hurt to have custom Punisher M&Ms to hand out either:devil:

I tell you what you can do, you can take the car to a track and do what it was designed to do. You can also have a better chance at winning something doing that. Just a thought, car shows are good for kids and that's about it.

here's some tip for you.

It really depends on what organization is running the car show. Some will not let you talk to the judges while they're judging your car.........but some do.

If they happen to let you talk to judges.........you REALLY need to be good in showcasing your car. I walk around with the judges, and tell them ALL the modifications of my car from the smallest one.....to the BEST mod I have. I show them every detail about my car.........and end up and give them the best feature of my car which is my engine.

It's also nice to have a board right beside your car that list ALL the modifications you have done will be helpful.

Having one of a kind modifications, unique set-up.............ARE very helpful. If they've seen your mods that they've seen already in other kappa cars........will be a negative.

You always have to promote what makes YOUR CAR DIFFERENT/UNIQUE from other platforms....as well as the kappa platform.

Bolt on mods....usually don't score high with judges................CUSTOM work gets the highest points....

The only thing that I can critique about your car is your interior. If you can mod your dash....and change your stock seats.......that will be good too.

Your car looks very good.......and I wish you all the best in the future car shows.

Ditto. I've become extremely cynical of most local car shows throughout the years because it's been my my experience that the majority of them are political and cliquish. Aren't part of a car group or club or don't know the judge(s), forget it. Not to mention being advertised as "classic" or "import" car show.

That's why I've adopted the attitude of simply going and enjoying the experience and expect nothing and leave before they announce the awards. Because if it's legit, the organizers have all your info when you entered (and payed) and should contact you to let you know you won something. Plus ALWAYS have a professional car sign listing all mods displayed. If a show is ligit or a judge serious the judge(s) will at the very least stand there and read it. About the only time to be close to your car during judging is if you expect one of them to ask you a question. Doesn't matter how many people say nice car, take pics, or want to talk to you about it.

Also remember the built not bought philosphy. Anyone can drop a car off at a shop and get work done. Team like 16niss that win at every show do work in house, themselves.

Sometimes judges aren't looking for a super modded out car. They're looking for a car that's just been personalized a little. You never know what kind of judges you're going to get. I went to the windrestrictor annual show because I love those guys, I'm not normally a car show guy, and was shocked to win 'best interior'. All I've done is a custom leather jpm armrest with a swsc logo, a wind restrictor in green, and green footwell and map lighting.

And oh yeah, maybe it was my custom leather stitched-in Zune holder that won it for me.. ;)

After the show, try to find/ask a judge about it in a positive way. Pick out a judge and seek them out while not being pissed or angry. I tried this and then stopped competing. The answers were not along the lines I wanted to take the car. This happened at two completely different shows so I stopped. I wasnt built to show cars anyway.

Of course we only get your side, but I cannot see why the other cars would beat you. 150K on a car does not make it less showable, bad paint would.

I've been to 5 since the end of February

4 i lost the most recent one left yelling at the stupid Biased judges who( Get this ) awarded all of the dodge cars (2) challengers and (1) charger with awards and left the 2011 45th anniversary Camaro in the dust ( I asked them for an EXPLANATION to their BAIS to 1 brand of car They ran away and brought the brownshirts to escort me from the show..I talked with one judge and he was going to ask on my behalf.

All of this after i Modded the targa roof and the fastback roof around the window with a carbon fiber wrap. GM performance Exhaust ( Soon-- The K&N Typhoon series CAI )

and I put my black Helos back on
