Ok Coupers' I have a problem I need help with. NC State inspection is due this month, took Coup in and got "Not Ready Rejection" 3 times for Evaporative Emissions Control System and O2 Sensors. Have never had a problem with the car until now, totally confused. Any thoughts, comments, suggestions, remedies? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would have service outfit check the O2 sensors, my guess is that one of them is failing or perhaps the connection to the wiring harness needs cleaning or is loose.

If you are not getting CELs then one would assume the pollution controls ar working. There is a separate warranty for the emissions talk with GM

My cat went out at 6K. O2 sensors are for cat check. I had the same problem with inspections here in NC until I figured out it was the VVT actuators. If all fails but the car still works, NC will allow an exception if you and the inspector have "done everything" to correct the problem. DMV Place on Avent Ferry Road does the issuing.

Ok, still no luck in solving problem. Haven't heard from Dave at DDM. Should I just disconnect the battery for a couple hrs to reset the ECM? Thompson GM just gave me a checklist procedure to do from a cold start, otherwise, I have to drive for 500 miles to reset.

No codes are showing up, no engine lights, etc

If you do end up disconnecting the battery then you will have to complete a number of drive cycles before the ECM will talk to the inspectors computer. may require several miles / hours before it will read it. I'd unplug as many plugs as you can get your hands on ( one at a time of course ) and clean both ends real good and plug back in. could be a loose connection or one that is not making good contact.

Obviously there's more to this story then you posted since I saw the "I'm waiting for DDM to call me back".... What have you had done to it? If it's tuned, contact your tuner.
