Join us for some great Kentucky twisties and a underground tour of a former working coal mine in Lynch Ky. This run will start at 8 am Saturday morning Sept. 7th from the parking lot of the Cracker Barrel in Dry Ridge Ky. I will consist of a spirited drive to Lynch Ky. Once we arrive at Lynch I am hoping to be able to do (2) tours of the underground mine. All the regular scheduled tours are booked for this date they will let me know if they can add ( a maximum of 2 more tours) if they can I will post that info here. We will only be able to host 20 total people in the underground tours if we can get them. 10 people to each tour. If more want to come on the run it is no problem but the underground tour(s) will be on a first come, first sign up basis. There is also a museum at the site for those who don’t wish to do the underground or are unable to secure a spot on the tours. After the tour we will drive to Middlesboro KY and spend the night. Be advised that this area is in a dry county so if you would like any alcohol on this trip ( obviously to be consumed at the end of the day ) you must pack it along. Sunday we will depart Middlesboro and drive more of Kentucky’s great byways and return to Lexington KY where the runs ends.
Now as I stated this is a spirited run. This means that if you like to sight see as you are driving along at a pleasurable pace, you slow down for curves, you have trouble keeping up with the pack, this is not your kind of run. My style of driving is to challenge the course if you will, and this leaves no time for anything but keeping you eye on the road and your foot on the throttle. I am by no means a maniac driver, and most of you what have run with me before know my style.
Be advise you are responsible for making your own motel reservations there is no discount code for this run.
Any questions you can contact me via PM
