The wife had a bad wreck on the way to work Thursday morning.
A full size pick-up ran a stop sign and she t-boned him doing 55.
She in pretty good shape considering. They did lifeflight her from the scene and took her to Toledo Hospital.
She has a fractured sternum, fractured 12th vertebra and a few cracked ribs.
Bruised up hands and arms.
Doing ok, will be stuck in a turtle shell back brace for 8 to 12 weeks to let everything heal. But no surgery will be needed to fix anything.
She was up out of bed a few times today moving about and sitting in a chair.
Hoping we can bring her home tomorrow if they can manage to get the pain under control.

Haven't had time to check into the accident details or even go see the car.
My Son took a pic with his cell.

She's in my prayers. At 55 mph it's usually a lot worse. These cars have a very good track record in bad accidents. I'm pulling for her.

WOW! Looks like a very close call. I'm glad she's on the road to recovery and will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Incidentally, "Look-at-me" yellow doesn't help. I have had several drivers move over practically on top of me like I wasn't even there. But I'm continually glad to see our cars do hold up pretty well in accidents as far as driver protection.

As snake said, - the metal and plastic can be replaced. Glad she's doing better than she might be and that everything should heal.
