I have had very good luck with paint-less dent removal. You may want to consider that as an option.

I used to occasionally take one of the cars to the store and parked in "safe" spots. But anymore, I just dont do it. Too many stories about idiots damaging nice cars. And I have other options.:willy:

I park away from everyone and walk to where I'm going. I've been lucky so far that way. I live in an area where almost everyone owns a pickup and many drive pieces of crap and they don't care who they bang with their rotten doors.

I'd cry if someone dinged my baby....

Today I parked in the first spot after a handicap spot. All the handicap spots were empty. I come out later... someone was parked crooked in the handicap spot next to me with very little space between us, and they were still sitting in the drivers seat. Their passenger must have been let out. I looked around the car, and thankfully no dings... and I am surprised. There were no other cars in other handicap spots... why would they choose that one. Grrr...

My daily driver is a Saturn Astra. It is a black car... so is easy to see new damage. New damage seems to find it often. I must have about 10 dings in a variety of places. Lots of white scuff marks... and none are from me. I do not get it. Why must people be so inconsiderate?

tell me about it. I park all the in the back at the grocery store and some douche in a POS cavalier or something parks right next to me. so close I had to move just to open the passengers door and put my groceries in. needless to say they were wiping a huge lugie off their windshield. as for ding, my own son opened his door in the driveway and dinged above the left rear tire. however, that was on the 06 and it's his problem now.

Yep. If it's not a door ding, it's doofuses leaving shopping carts feral in the parking lots. Heck, I've seen women leave them feral when they were done loading their SUV/MiniVan and they're parked right next to the cart corral. The carts roll and hit another car before they've even started their vehicle. I hate driving to the store. Fortunately, I don't do it very often.

But that's the shame of it. It's damn near impossible to buy a nice car and keep it that way. Between the door dings, cart dings, rocks being dumped on the roads, and landscapers blowing trash at you with their leaf blowers as you drive by, a nice car won't stay looking nice for long these days.

How about driving on the highway and workers are cutting the grass/weeds with those huge mowers and DING!!!!!!! a stone flies across the highway, across the medium and into YOUR car.
