I know it isn't a Solstice, but there was a guy on Facebook offering his Sky Redline for 8000 yesterday. 104,000 miles
I just started posting low mileage and low priced SKYs on the Sky forum (not sure how long I'll do that), what I've noticed for the last several months is how few Skys are advertised compared to Sols, and that the majority of the ads seem to be the 06s Sols. No mystery there they since Pontiac sold a boatload of Sols in the first year. I've also notice that Skys seem to be priced higher than a Sols in comparable condition. Again no real mystery there since Skys were higher than Sols when new.It seems the Solstice's are really taking a hit lately. Value falling much faster than the Sky, may be that the 2006 and 2007 are over the finance line, not sure. Any ideas ChopTop?
And at that price point, I could see a V8 conversion being VERY popular. Throw in some new suspension bushings, shocks, etc. and you'd have a car with near Corvette performance and a reasonable entry cost. What I've noticed about low priced Sols is they appear to fall into three different categories, cars close too or over 100K + miles, cars w/rebuilt or salvage titles, or cars that have mechanical or body damage (or a combo of them). I also expect prices to continue to drop, possible to the two to three thousand range for these types of Sols in the future.
