Cool find: I have number 8 of 20 Solstice Hardtops made by EDAG.?

Far as I know EDAG has never disclosed number of tops produced. All I have is an estimate by Peter of RevengeDesigns that RD installed around 40 hardtops and had another 50 available at heavy discount pricing of $1K (with some paying as low as 5-$600). Regardless, that's a substantial savings over the initial price of $2500. It's possible the seller paid original pricing. Plus it does appear to be a complete kit, and as far as I can remember RD wasn't able to offer complete kits during the end of their EDAG hardtop liquidation.

I called and spoke with the project manager at EDAG for the tops and Peter when looking for the SKY top and I was told only 20 complete kits where made.

There were fiberglass parts for 60-70 but only hardware and complete glass sets for 20. I got quotes for glass on the SKY top and the quotes ranged from $1500-4000.

Norms race top with Plexiglas is $1600 I think the street version will be $2000 or just over.

$2000 for this top sounds like a fair price.

Somewhere on here though is a thread where a couple folks got some if the last ones. Member jrinky was even contemplating buying leftover parts. It seems to me they went fur less than $2,000. Just mentioning it for search purposes.

Interesting, than I would like to know the final production number if for no other reason than curiosity? I do remember Peter telling me they had installed 40 when we met, and then was heavily discounting the remaining inventory.

I pick up my hardtop from a dealership where it was given as part a trade in. Then had to buy the installation parts from RD. Main reason I purchased it was didn't want it to go to a landfill, and the dealership wanted the hardtop out of their parts department because it was taking up too much space to store it.
