I had been toying with this design on Forza 4 on my Solstice Coupe. I decided to try it out on my actual Solstice Convertible. Took about 10 cans of white and two black with two cans of glossifer. (going to do another can or two to really smooth it out).

Came out pretty good. I know it's not perfect. It was just for fun and to see if I really like the design enough to have it formally painted. I love it!

That's not too bad. I like stripes on white cars. are you done or will you do the other side to match?
Done. I love the offset stripe. In my car guy's opinion, it's what this car looks best in.

Also, the other side of the hood will be available for race track numbers. I like a circle with the number in it. Going for that 60s look.

hey, did yours start off as black? you had said 10 cans of white, just wondering where that went. My 1st car was a 70 Nova. it was gold and had the worst paint ever, I scuffed and spray bombed it black. turned out rather well. not bad for a 16 year old stoner!

OSUCherokee ; I was told by an old Time Racer when I put stripes on my PT where they are located on the car meant something.
#1 If they are on the right side of the Center , You will race any one in your class anytime .
#2 If they are to the left on the Center , You will race anyone anytime W/a spot
#3 If they are in the Center , You will race anyone anytime anyplace /Heads-up for anything. Thats what he said about racing stripes. If its true I don't know but it soundes Good I was about 62 then . My PT has them in the Center ,It also has a stage 1 PCM ,Borla 2 1/2" exhaust hi-flow cat and Direct port NOS system . spraing a 50 shot in each cylinder . Thats my other toy .I'm 72 now and still play.

I will post a picture when i get my computer tranfered to this new one

My first car was a 56 Mercuery. It was canary yellow with green trim. I put on dump tubes, thrush mufflers and racing stripes running side to side across the hood in black. I thought it was AWSOME.

It died after hydroplaning on McArther Blvd at 3am while raving a baby blue 59 Chevy. That was 1966. I ended up out of college and humping rice paddies a year later.

I would also add that if its two large muscle car type stripes you'll race anyone anytime, so long as it's in a straight line. :D
