I dont know if this is true or not, but I heard that people over 5'11" have a hard time fitting and/or driving the Sol. Does anyone know if this is true. Im 6'2" so im worried I wont fit. I plan on ordering one soon, just wanted to verify first. Plus im trying to see which model will be better to buy, now or the GXP(charged) version.

It all depends on the person. I am 6'2" and fit fine while others who are short and have proportionally long legs will not fit.

There has been much talk on this topic. On the top you will see a search button where you can research it

I haven't driven one yet by I asked my salesman the same question. He states he is 6'2" 225 & fit in the cockpit very well when GM took the Solstice on tour. (I'm 6' about 235 so I'm hoping.............)

I'm about 6'1" and had the same concern. I was recently able to get into one, albeit with the top down, and had no problems fitting in. you won't be able to recline the seat much, if at all, but fitting in the car should not be a problem.

I'm 6'2 210lbs I'm hoping they will have a Solstice at the San Diego Auto Show so I can see if I fit.

I don't fit in a Miata, S2000, or MR2 Spyder. But I do fit in my Del Sol and in my old MKII MR2 <-- quite spacious BTW.

This subject seems to come up a lot. Maybe some of the people who already have a Solstice could list their height and posts some pics of them standing next to the car, sitting in the car, and show leg room. Maybe that can put an end to the speculation. I think someone did this a while back with a Miata and a Sosltice, but I can't remember where it is.

The member "gravana1" is the owner of gravana - an aftermarket company here in valencia, they have a solstice, maybe try to stop by and see them and their car. They encourage sol owners/wanabees to say hello!

I'm 6'-4" (34" inseam) but on the skinny side (33" waist). Yesterday went down to the dealers lot so I could actually sit in a car that had been bought by one of their employees. I fit with more room than I expected! I knew that the critical point would be my right knee and it's clearance with the tunnel and wheel. I had assumed I would be forced to keep it on the same plane with the wheel. But (provided the cruise control's on) I can put my right foot on the floor board and actually pass my right knee behind the wheel. Should make for far more comfortable long cruises.

As an aside, she ordered hers 8-2 and got it 10-26. I left a deposit 3-14 and an stuck on "produced 10-6". But her's was a stripper with AC as the only option. Oh the price we pay for leather seats! :willy:

I am 6'1", and 210 lbs and I fit like a glove in my S2K. Just where are you carrying that 210 lbs? I love the fit and feel of the Honda, and mine is a 2001, and I would guess they made the later models a bit more roomy.

I love this car, fits like a glove, plenty of head room (top up or down, smartass!)

Agressive driving/Racing might be slightly challenging because of steering (hands/knees interference), but every day driving and even emergency maneuvers are just fine.

order it, buy it...love it! THIS IS A BIG CAR! You get the same feeling (and looks) from this car as you would from a Vette (with out the second mortgage and high insurance!)
