Anyone know a machine shop that can modify bolt patterns of a rim? *My buddy has a 5x120 that needs to be a 5x110 if possible.

The rim is a mrr gt1 that is 5x120 and it doesn't fit my friends sky redline. His other 3 mrr wheels say 5x120 and fit from what he has. He just bought this rim to replace one that was bent and for some odd reason this one isn't fitting.

For the record I'm aware the bolt pattern is 5x110 for kappas but on the back of his current rims it says 5x120 and it doesn't make any sense to me.

You should just buy hub adapters.
If you re drill the wheel it wont be as strong to my understanding.

Sometimes the PCD is pre-stamped but the bolt holes are drilled for whatever was ordered. It does look like MRR specializes in platforms where 5x120 is the norm so it's possible. My SSRs (which were a commissioned work by Tire Rack) are stamped for 5x100 but are obviously 5x110.

He should check local auto forums for a QUALITY machine shop in your area that can fill and redrill a wheel and should be fine for daily driving.

Where'd he buy them originally?
