My wife and I recently purchased a 2006 Solstice. We have a 6 cd radio changer which doesn't like burned cd's. It will eject them as fast as you put them in. We would like to play our own music that we have on a usb thumb drive. We had a vehicle that had a usb port for playing on your radio. Does anyone have any suggestions?

In my 06 I have one of those small bluetooth units plugged into the aux port. Then link it to my phone for my music. With the sirrius satellite app and spotify and stuff I have plenty of music to listen to.

Other then using the aux port there is no way. Bluetooth didn't exhist in 2006 yet in car stereos and there was no other way to "wire" in a port. You can always completely redo your stereo like I did this last summer...but I wouldn't recommend it.

There is one for sale on ebay. the item is discontinued but you can still locate them. This thing gives you Bluetooth, USB and IPOD control. It also allows you to plug in an aftermarket HDRadio tuner as well.
