I hope to pick up my Solstice today, if I can coordinate the Credit Union, my insurance man, and the dealership I could be driving tonight! I'll temper my emotions until I actually get the keys though.

A bargain in my opinion, no bashing here. Only in America:

2006 Solstice- Red, sweet and streamlined by far the best looking 2006 out there @ any price!

5 speed Aisin trans
great cornering and suspension
cutting edge hydro-formed body technology
air, cruise,
CD/ Stereo,
floor mats,
factory fog lights
conveinence pkg.
convertible
limited slip differential
4 wheel anti-lock brakes
aluminium wheels/great tires
......................................$22,338.09..are you kidding me!? Thank you GM!

:agree: My car was only slightly more than yours in cost, a real bargain. All of the poeple who have talked to me can't believe the cost. GM hit it on the head with this car's options and pricing.

that was tough to do

lining up financing and insurances was tough to do until I got a VIN so I knew it would come down to last minute running around to complete the deal. As it stands, by waiting I got a loan below prime rate so a few days more if necessary I can handle. I got a bargain and I know it!

I fervently hope I don't share the advance time and knowledge of my vin # that you have had to prepare financing my car when it comes. Not knowing can hamper the process a bit but your history has been something else again. :(

Went and got the loan app from my credit union today. I will submit it for pre-approval next week; they said the pre-approval is good for 60 days, and I sure as [email protected]#$ hope that my car doesn't take that long to get here.

I know it could still be awhile, but the excitement is finally starting to build again. I even got some practice driving a manual transmission this past week, so hopefully I won't embarass myself by stalling the car while leaving the dealership.

Excellent news! Enjoy the car, and be sure and pry yourself away for a few minutes to stop by the forum and tell us your experiences.
