I will be getting a thirty six month loan. One negative aspect is my car payment will be over six hundred a month with a two thousand down payment It better to get it payed for sooner. I remember taking a five year loan it seem to take forever to get it payed off

Will be making payments @ $2,000 a month - paid off a little less than a year (or if economic hardship should befall my family I'll revert to the original payments)

36 months @ 4.99% for $15000

Best deal I could find. Lendingtree.com works great.

I financed $26,620.00 at 5.24% for 72 months.

Payments are $431.94.

With interest that low, it makes sense to use available capital for other things.

My plan is to put $6K down, finance the rest ($20,000) at ~5.6% for 60 months, and pay it off at $1000/month and be done in less than two years (just about the same time my wife pays off her Santa Fe! :) ).

Paid cash!
However, with an interest rate lower than around 5.5% you can leave your cash in 4.5% tax free munis. and make money!
