I have an annoying rattle coming from
the passenger side of the car.
I hear the sound going over bumps while driving.

I looked behind the passenger seat today, and it looks
to me like the panel is not sitting correctly.
( on the driver's side, everything is flush... )

The panel goes up the door, and goes from the floor to the
seatbelt hole.

How do I get this panel off so that I can
re-seat it correctly ?

I see no screws - just the speaker.
Do I just yank it ?

Door sill first, then pillar trim. Both just pull off.

There are pictures in my Punisher thread on Sol forum. I had the entire interior out of the car.

Pull up in the sill. It comes straight up and out. The trim behind the door pulls off as well. There is a connecter for the speaker.

Check the area where the seatbelt comes through the waterfall. There were a lot of people with rattle behind the seat and it turned out to be the two panels not being aligned correctly. I ended up putting a small piece of 3M tape between the panels years ago and no rattle since

I don't have a plastic rattle, it sounds like steel flatwashers.

also check to make sure your antenna is tight. if its a little loose it will cause a really annoying rattle.

I would agree with the door latch or the antenna. My antenna was fairly loose at one point and the rattle was horrible! I wasn't sure at first where it was coming from until I touched it when putting the top down. I tightened it however it would continually come loose. Finally I used thread locker on the antenna threads and haven't had problems since.

I inserted a screw into the panel.

I have less noise, but the noise is still there.
Now it sounds like the panel holding the speaker is the cause,
but that panel has nothing behind it - if I wanted to screw it down.

I unscrewed the door latch, and screwed it back in. It seems fine. I did have to fix my driver's side for the door latch. It is not that kind of noise.

Does the noise only occur when the top is down when you're driving? Check the felt lined saddles in the trunk. I'm betting the felt is shot.

Saddle Squeak - new fix

Here's a picture from that thread showing the saddles I'm talking about.

Only when the top is up, Sounds like its from the joints in the corner of the driverside.
