I created this for several reasons:
  1. Signatures cause the threads to become too large to read text. You do allot of scrolling just to get through.
  2. As a non supporting member the signature block is limiting in the number of characters and markup code even though I tried to keep mine to a few lines with commas, there wasn't enough space to list all of the mods that you may want to consider for your cool ride.
  3. I Hope that others will follow suit.
  4. I can always come back to this thread and update it when I add or change the look of my ride.

BTW, I have personally performed all mods except the window tinting. Some things are best left to professionals. :)

Dealer Maintenance:
  1. Oil changed every 3k as per service plan 36000
  2. Jul 07 Rear Diff leak @ 9200 miles
  3. Jul 07 Front bumber paint repair (factory defect)
  4. Jul 07 Under carriage damage, caused by dealer while fixing rear diff leak
  5. Jul 07 Passenger cup holder - replaced
  6. Aug 07 Double oil change, new dealer stated "Didn't know it was a turbo, used reg oil)
  7. Sep 07 Under carriage damage, caused by second dealer during oil change
  8. Sep 07 Hood and doors swirl scratches all over - Fixed by Go-N Def.
  9. Nov 07 Roof pinching - replaced side back 1/2 of window seal with new part including Teflon plastic square on top edge
  10. Feb 08 Suspension Squeak fixed by TSB
  11. Feb 08 Rear Diff leak @ 21750 miles, fixed by Recall 07204
  12. Feb 08 Roof leak into trunk - Wind Restrictor forced screws on trunk lid to hit rain seal and tear. Replaced top.
  13. Aluminum Door sill "Solstice" separating.

* Various items removed for weight reduction
(Factory Club Sport already has: NO air cond, NO power windows, NO cruise control, NO power locks, NO on-star, and I have removed another 50 or so lbs, along with running 1/2 tank of gas which removes still another 38 lbs..... I can't bring myself to part with the radio.)

I love drag racing and joining car shows. So Far, I already won 2 trophies (first place trophy for modern division and Grand Prize Trophy for Ultimate Cruiser of the Night) and 1plaque (First place in Concept Class division). It's tough to drag race a car and also join car shows at the same time. Maintenance and keeping it clean must be a must. Some of my mods don't really make my car fast, but they really look good for car shows. It's a very expensive hobby :)

JAZZ overlay on waterfall
Coat hanger tabs behind both seats replaced by velcro, didn't work.
Velcro remains, but added suction cup hangers on hump and those appear to work for now.
Rain-X anti-fog on windows
Smoke gray wind restrictor with FELT tabs removed 8-30-09, felt tabs not needed and were 'moving' around, like wandering???
NC max legal window tint (front top is 4” wide Max legal in HI is 3”)

2006 Solstice ENVIOUS /Darkside/ 2.4N/A / Grey/Black cloth interior/ 5 speed transmission /FE2 Suspension/ Polished stock wheels/Goodyear RSA's/ NO Options - Came bare bones,with only 4,000kms with hand crank windows, manual locks, no trip odo, no DIC etc.
