If I get a Hahn intercooler and DDM IC Piping, will I need to have my tune adjusted? What if I add a Solo performance cat?

I am going to join in on this thread. I am planning on getting the DDM intercooler installed by DDM at the Poconos 2014 Nationals. I have the GMPP tune. Would this affect it?

If you want to extract as much power as it is available with the mods, then you need to have it Dyno tune.

Great time at the Falls on Saturday. Thanks to you and Jack for organizing this event.

Re your question, all the threads and posts on the GMPP tune that I have read suggests that it automatically will learn from any changes and make the appropriate adjustments to maximize power. The OEM tune would not make adjustments to increase power and would actually detune the engine to keep the power the same.

I might go in with you on the DDM intercooler installation at the Poconos next year.

The GMPP tune will "learn" the new hardware and you will see an improvement.

I had everything you can add to the car with the GMPP tune and it resulted in 305 HP at the wheels.

If you want to extract every last ounce of HP, having a knowledgable tuner do dynamic tuning on a dyno is good.

Having a dyno tune by a local tuner with no knowledge or experience with the powertrain is not something I would choose to pay for.
