An I for an I, and Bluetooth for Bluetooth, and pretty soon everyone is driving a Pont and unable to make hands-free calls.

Sorry that happened to you. But like some others here, I removed all of the trunk lid lettering. I think it makes the car look more svelte, and adds a bit of mystery for curious onlookers.

Well I think the OPs version also sends a message - "I'll keep an I out for you!"

Would you like to buy a vowel?

Sorry I need to give the credit to Grampa Solstice for his original post titled “I’d like to buy a vowel” but can’t figure out how to link it.

My first car was a 2-door 1986 Buick Skyhawk. Had “BUICK” in block letter across the middle of the back.

One day part of the “K” fell of so it read BUICI
Used to refer to it as a fine Italian Coupe from then on out.

FWIW, it doesn't bother me. The funny outweighs the misfortune. Most people probably don't notice it, but, for those who do, the jokes pretty much write themselves. :)

I had an old Dodge van that I had repainted. when I put the letters back on the hood it spelled Dedog.
