Well, maybe not really. But that was the first thing I thought when I ran my wash rag over this damage to my right rear wheel this afternoon. Note that the car was moved between the two pictures so the damage in the inset is from a little different angle. In the inset, a projectile or possibly something like a trailer hitch attached to another vehicle peeled back a portion of the wheel from the upper right to the lower left. The left corner of the triangle is actually a roll of metal that was scraped out of the hole. It could have made a pretty good gash in my finger if the rag had not found it first. I'm bummed, but I guess I should be glad that whatever it was, it didn't hit my nuts.

Check that rim. Maybe broken.
That is a very hard hit.
The best to you and your Sol.

I hit the center guard rail on the freeway at about 65 in my 88 camaro and it broke an 8in piece off. I priced a replacement and ended up getting all new aftermarket rims. If you like them I'm sure someone had a used one somewhere but it might be a good time to get something else.

I had a damaged wheel on my Firebird and they wanted 542.00+shipping for a factory replacement. Hope somebody has one you can buy. Oh I ended up buying a set of after-market wheels for 200.00 more. Good Luck

$324 plus shipping and handling. I think I'd consider that somewhat reasonable. You could probably buy a set of aftermarket's and sell yours on ebay for $200ea and be re-coupe some of your money.

When I first bought the trailer, a local salvage yard had about 4 or 5 OEM Solstice wheels to choose from ranging from $100 to $250. It was hard to find a light scuff mark on the $100 one I chose. The "shot" one will swap places with the spare in the trailer and yes, it will make it to the Poconos.
