February’s Jacksonville Roadsters Run is a visit to the Tallahassee Automobile Museum, located in Tallahassee, Florida at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 23, 2013.
The Tallahassee Automobile Museum, located at 6800 Mahan Drive, opened to the public in May 1996. Our museum was born of DeVoe Moore’s need for a project and the red-tape of government environmental permitting inhibiting his ability to build new buildings! Since the building for the original museum site was already permitted, he put his energy into developing a facility to house his small collection of 15 cars. Currently, the museum displays over 130 automobiles. The collection is quite diverse. Automobiles range from an 1894 Duryea, one of the oldest automobiles manufactured in the United States, to a 2010 Camaro customized to look like a Pontiac Trans Am. The 1860 horse-drawn funeral hearse reported to have carried Abraham Lincoln is also on display. Our Batman collection has grown to include three Batmobiles --including the original cars used in the movies Batman Returns and Batman Forever, the Batmobile and Batcycle from the TV series, the Yellow Duck and the original Batboat used in the movie Batman Returns. In addition to the vehicles mentioned above, there are many other unique and rare vehicles. Over 20 of the vehicles are national champion cars.
We have 15 rooms blocked for us at the Best Western Seminole Inn, 6737 Mahan Drive, Tallassee, FL 32308. Phone 850-656-2938. Tell them you are with the Jacksonville Roadsters. The cost is $ 69.95 per night. We will meet at the hotel at 9:45 am and travel to the Museum.
After the visit to the Museum we will travel to Monticello, Florida, led by John and Marianne Miller, for lunch at the Brick House Eatery, 190 N. Jefferson Street, Monticello.
Hope you will mark your calendar and join us for a day of fun, friendship and good food. Please RSVP [email protected] or call 904-509-7134, by February 19, 2013 I have to tell the Museum the number of people we will have.

NOTE: The Hotel is setup for those that do not wish to get up early Saturday morning and drive to Tallahassee, after lunch you are free to do whatever you wish.
