I have decided to sell my JPM stainless shift kit with black alcantara and red stitched shift boot. The stainless is the heaviest option available and did provide a nice crisp and precise shift feel. There is nothing wrong with the kit and looks as it did when first installed, I am just wanting to free up the money to put into other things.

The shifter has been installed since September and was removed in November to put back to stock. I have the kit boxed and ready to ship. I am asking $225 for the shifter + $12.35 shipping which will be via medium flat-rate box (the least expensive option).

PM me with any interest or other questions. Thank you for looking.

I have this exact same combo and it looks and feels great! That's a good price too. Good luck with the sale!

New from JPM it is $235+$17.70 shipping so $252.70. I'm open to offers, but not desperate to sell at this point.

That's correct, no engraving. I wanted the clean look of the bare stainless.

Does this include the ring attached to it or did you remove it? It looks like you are supposed to send the ring to jpm when you order and they attach it then send it back to you. I am interested but I agree the price is retail and yours is used, so what will you realistically take?

No, they send it to you like this, and you attach the ring.

The ring is two pieces that essentially sandwich the shift boot. I was worried about breaking the ring at first but its actually pretty easy

There is an option for JPM to attach a ring for the Sky shifter, but as others have mentioned for the Solstice you disassemble the stock ring and reuse it with this.

With the OP's approval. I also have a JPM shifter available. It was originally owned by Madmod and I picked it up when I purchased parts for my car from him. Mine has a thinner shaft due to his designed shift ring configuration. Purpose, he built up an Audi TT led shifter ring on top of his original shifter ring. The TT ring was smaller in diameter so JPM reduced the shaft size and had a bend to make the shift work for him. Also, it does not have any threading for the shift knob. Madmod purchased a Gaslock shift knob (lights the gear you are in) to use. So my shifter would need its own shift knob (No I do not have the Gaslock). The boot was an ostrich look in tan. It in not real ostrich and it looks to only work with his configuration. It may be able to be cut to be glued into the existing ring however since it was tan and I have my own design brewing, it did not work for me. The shifter ring has two tabs broken and the inner ring has a break too. Painting is primed but not complete. I fear the rings would not be usable but I have not gotten to that point to see if it would work.

The reason for my post here is to offer my shifter for sale to purchase Silverfox90's. If he sells outright to someone else first, I'd still be willing to sell mine. I want a shift knob of his style that has the boot adapter to raise or lower where the boot hangs. I'm asking $140.00 including shipping in the US. If you only want the shifter and no rings or boot $135.00. I prefer to keep the TT ring (for another car) but if it is a deal breaker, I'd add it too. Note: the led portion is no longer there. It was brittle, fell apart and the led's were burned out.

Below is Madmod's first thread on it:

Here is what it looked like in Madmods car:

Is there really a big difference with these shifters performance wise or are they mostly for looks ? I had read some posts a while back on one of the Kappa forums that people were having issues with these shifters

The main difference is in the balanced and weighted design of the shifter as well as more crisp and precise feel over stock. Although this does not change the linkage as in a true short-throw kit, the added mass and calculated balance cause shifts to feel more effortless.

As far as issues, some notice a resonance present in when engaged in second gear, but this is really hit or miss. I spoke with the manufacturer Lathe Werks and they concluded after testing potential causes and solutions that it has to do with differences in the transmissions. Apparently some create a resonant frequency through vibrations that travels through the shifter, the stock knob is designed in a way to eliminate any noise or vibration, but sacrifices feel.
