Anybody else notice that the new $78,000 BMW 645Ci convertible top has buttresses? So who copied whom? At any rate, looks like we'll be keeping some fast company on this item. Rather gratifying, since the buttresses were so controversial. :D

Trivia..On an aircraft they are called turtle decks.

Actually the head fairings behind the seats might be called turtle decks, but they are refering to the fabric extensions at the back of the convertable top, those might be more acurately called butresses, or AFBTS as they are know in the biz... :lol:
