ZZP claims that the LDK is a third gen block that's different than the LNF in the fact that it's sand cast as opposed to the LNF's foam casting.

Apparently the foam casted blocks are more porous and crack.

Wikipedia states that the LDK is foam cast and that the sand cast blocks weren't made until the LHU (one model after LDK).

Wiki also states that the "gen 2" turbo blocks are the LNF, LDK, LHU.

So ZZP claims the LDK is gen 3 and sand cast. This is very different than what Wiki states. Who is truly correct? Does the LDK block not suffer from the porous castings??

Thank you for your time and help in this matter!!!

The block, head and internals are the same the main difference is the oil pan, but you can't use the fwd oil pan.

I don't remember if the LDK have the Opel injectors, but the LHU does (you need to retune your car for those injectors or switch them with yours)
