Is the low coolant sensor located in the reservoir tank? And can it be cleaned or replaced? Its coming on at times but is not low. Thanks

Yes, in the bottom of the tank. I'm sure it could be replaced, but try checking the wire and connector plug first. A bad connection could give you the same symptom.

Your response reminded me to look up the part. I can't find it separately. It seems to come with the tank ("TANK,RAD SURGE(INCLS LOW LEVEL SWITCH)(ACDelco #10368831). Required: 01"): TANK. Engine Coolant Recovery. 2008 Pontiac Solstice # 10368831

No. If anything, air in the system would cause a higher level in the tank.

that makes sense. Oh well. I guess I was thinking that the ECM knew just like it knows that the t-stat is bad.

Can someone please post a photo of where the coolant temperature sensor is? There is a line drawing of the engine out there, but I can't make heads nor tails of it. A photo would be a huge help. Thanks!
