It shouldn't affect future sales much, the Mallets that have gone up for sale on auction sites usually end up being sold in the mid-20s. I would imagine that's where they will continue to trade for the foreseeable future.Just wondering what effect Mallet's bankruptcy will have on the future sale of these cars?
Be aware that Mallett went through bankruptcy several years ago, and the outfit that bought Mallett to bring them out of bankruptcy discovered after the ensuing time period that Mallett wasn't profitable, and decided to pull the plug and close the doors, and sell off all the assets.Just wondering what effect Mallet's bankruptcy will have on the future sale of these cars?
I don't think the public will care that much, but they'll probably be collectors to fellow Solstice ownersThe only thing I see that sets Mallett apart from other V8 conversions is unique branding, individual Mallett serial number plaque, possible tuner name recognition, and numerous articles published about Mallett V8s (327 Turbo). But it lacks racing provenance. Do the positives outweigh the negatives to make it a legitimate collectible :dunno:
So, with all the available companies that do V8 conversions, how does one know the best one to use? I wouldn't think coming out of bankruptcy would give one a warm fuzzy feeling. I would like to have a V8 version but will not give up my current vehicle and would have to purchase a donor. Seems by the time I do that I would have more invested than what this vehicle is selling for. I really would rather avoid all the extra expense of purchasing donor, transporting to a select company, waiting possibly months to complete. Is there anyone else who is attempting to sell their V8? Please give me some feedback as weather is getting better and I want to move on something quickly. Thanks guy's!!
