Does anyone know of an aftermarket cruise control for a drive by wire corvette LS2 that works with the Pontiac throttle body or that is GPS driven?

Well I found a company that has a cruise control for the drive by wire ls2 that will work with the solstice throttle pedal and of all the dumb luck the company is right here in my hometown! For those with v8 conversions that are missing the cruise control Dakota Digital has it covered. My car goes into the shop next week for the install

I will also be interested in this, my Cruise control worked on my Mallet until I installed the Tremek 6060, now it doesn't work in 6th gear. Works in 4th & 5th. But not in 6th.

That's bizarre. How does a cruise control know what gear you are in? I guess it could calculate if it also has engine speed, but why would it care?

So, looking deeper, the AR5 has a .73 fifth, and the 6060 has a .50 sixth. So maybe it is an engine speed issue.

What cruise control do you have?

I contacted them about applicability to a converted, tuned LS and they said no

Good morning Robert,

Thank you for the message and interest in our products.

I’m sorry to say, our CRC-1000 (nor CRC-2000) would likely not function in this application. This unit works nicely in specific applications which arerelatively stock, however once this tune leave the initial OEM application, especially as it relates to pedal feedback, this goes away.

Thanks again for checking!

Mine has never worked. :) Every time I talked with Ken he said "some day" then he retired.
Rob, mine also did not work, I was able to contact Ken by E-mail after I purchased the car in 2016. He said he could "Fix" the CC by sending me the info if I had one of his cables, I did not. So he agreed to have me mail my ECU to him and he fixed the CC and a high idle issue I was having that was sometimes causing the engine to surge at lower rpm's.

After installing the Tremek and having the CC not work I contacted him again to ask his opinion, he asked me to try the CC in 4th & 5th to see if it worked in those gears. It does, them he explained that there in a speed to rpm table in the ECU that does not allow the CC to function if the speed and RPM does not fall into a given range.

As 4th and 5th gear ratios are almost identical in the AR5 & T-6060 it works. But as already stated the 0.50 OD ratio of the 6060 does not fall into the RPM/Speed tables programed. Disapointing as I only use the CC when traveling on the highway for and hour or more, and I am only going to do that in the highest gear available to me. It nice cruising at 75mph at 2000 rpm, and getting over 20mpg compared to the 17mpg I was getting with the AR5. Doesn't sound like much but it is a big improvement when traveling with our local club and the other cars are getting 30+mpg considering the size of our gas tanks.

I really just need to find a local tuner that can alter the speed table to allow it engage in 6th gear. Probably a project for later this year after the nationals.

Rob PM me if you are interested in contacting Ken about your CC. He should be able to fix yours also.

This is very interesting information. I have never tried the CC in 5th gear. I will give it a try. I have Ken's contact info but he is not much interested in talking with anyone any more. If you have an in with him, let me know please. Tanks

Well it took almost 3 weeks but I now have a functioning cruise control in my LS Sol! I have the Dakota Digital cruise system and fortunately for me I live in Sioux Falls SD were they are head quartered out of. I had a performance shop here install it but they ran into some issues and after many back and forth conversations with Dakota Digital they finally just ran the car down to their shop and their engineers figured it out in less than an hour. The issue was the way the original shop that installed the LS swap had grounded out some of the wiring once that was straightened out it worked flawlessly. I have only had a few days with it but so far I couldn't be happier, It holds speed perfect and the accelerate and cost work as I would expect.
