STAINLESS STEEL BRAKES CORP. SET TO UNVEIL LS2 SOLSTICE GT AT SEMA

It seems every year the show cars at the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association Show raise the bar to grab the attention of the increasingly jaded attendees, who have seen just about everything there is to see. This time around, Stainless Steel Brakes has built a car that will turn the heads of even the most cynical showgoers - an LS2-powered Solstice that features a number of upgrades to allow the little two-seater to actually handle the force of the all-alluminum, 400hp GTO engine.
In addition to the engine transplant, the Solstice GT features a six-speed manual transmissions, eight-piston front disc brakes with 14-inch rotors, four-piston rear discs with 13-inch rotors, coilover adjustable shocks, a stainless steel dual exhaust, and oversized front and rear stabilizer bars.
The Solstice GT's visual message is also one of power and performance, featuring a "Wide Body" kit with midly flared front fenders and ultra-flared rear fenders with integrated functional ducting for larger rear calipers, a front air dam, custom brake ducting, a rear wing, an integrated rollbar, and 20-inch wheels and tires.
Its interior was also upgraded with custom Katzkin leather seat covers in two-tone blue and tan, backup monitors in the visors, DVD navigation, two video screens, and a custom stereo system.
