Yes Rob, the plan when i dropped the car off in May was he would work on it at his leisure but he literally took it to heart nearly 60 days in the shop and nothing was done!!!! Needless to say i was not a happy camper i stopped there this sunday on a surprised visit and found the car outside with nothing being done to it.

I called him up right away to go ape %$%@#%#@@!#$^# it helped because the car goes into painting this week and should be out by next weekend the 10th which is still unacceptable but at this point i just want to enjoy my car before the weather goes south on us.

Alot of the extra custom stuff didn't get done - Custom hood inserts - Custom Exhaust and tail lights - Custom grill - alot of the clear bra was left undone and now moved to next year.

Surprise visit and i see this !!!

I am able to park both cars inside so I don't use a cover. But I do cover my HD . I use a soft inside, slippery out side cover so dust doe not cling to it as much. I also ground it which helps as well.

Just a dumb question. Why do this to a yellow Sol? This color seems to command about an extra $3000 in the car market! I looked for a yellow Sol or Sky and the price was just out of the range I wanted to spend at the time. I was also looking at '07-'08 GTOs and the same was true of that car! I even sold my yellow Mustang ('98 GT w/150k) for about $2000 more then what everyone else wanted.

Alot of people are missing the point ... the car is a MEAN GXP, its already yellow lol but the reason for another yellow coat.

1. To match the lip kit and custom work
2. To fix all dings and crap from winter

I had an 04 GT roush edition stang yellow just love the color.

I did the same thing with my 85 Vette. It was a two tone blue and I loved the colour. Around 1995 I had her repainted the exact same colour. When I have had the Sol for 10 years i will do the same thing and it will stay "mean"!

that's awesome. Yellow really does justice to Vettes and our cars. I highly considered a mean GXP when I was looking but decided to maintain a low profile.

Ok better pics and here is the detail touches he did... and Southern Sol im already looking to buy a used hard top :)

So we painted the handles yellow in front and black in the back, painted the silver parts around window black, put matte sticker inside doors to complete yellow black scheme, tinted tails and sidemarker, emblem, molded stock wing to body. On the body on the sideskirt he put a black sheet there and painted the grill black so it doesn't show as a big empty hole.

Wheels i decided to go without the inserts for now and the rest pf the car well it speaks for it self look at the before pic in the end.
