Tomorrow the yellow beast gets its GMPP tune kit, from a GM dealer. I hope I like the results, since my GXP is running perfectly. Does "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" apply in this situation? I hope not.
I have it and love it on my Mean GXP. No problems.:thumbs:Tomorrow the yellow beast gets its GMPP tune kit, from a GM dealer. I hope I like the results, since my GXP is running perfectly. Does "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" apply in this situation? I hope not.
:agree::agree: I had them solder mine.Just MAKE SURE THEY SOLDER THE CONNECTIONS to the MAP sensors!
Do NOT accept crimps, they WILL fail.
Solo GXP Mach is what I have. You should also get the Solo Hi Flow Cat while you are at it....combined you get a nice rumble but not overwhelming....plus you pick up some HP with Solo Cat. All comes together now that you have the tune.:thumbs:OK... the GMPP tune is great. Very smooth power curve, and lots of it. Unless I decide to race, this enough power. Period. Now i need a new exhaust to sound cool. Suggestions?
Google "Solo Performance" they ship everywhere. Not sure where you are located but they have a shop near Buffalo NY. If you go to them they will install for free. I went to their CDN location just outside of Toronto. If you can't get to them find a good performance or muffler shop in your area and have the items shipped to them for install.Where do I go to get these items. Will a GM shop do the install? Some idea of cost. I really appreciate any suggestions.
On my old Gxp we dynoed just the hi flo cat and the race exhaust and saw 29 hp increaseI looked up the muffler & cat. They look good. Will they really give the horsepower and torque increases Solo claims? Combined with the GMPP tune, that would be horsepower beyond 300.
Yep!!! I am configured that way and I figure I am 300hp or so.I looked up the muffler & cat. They look good. Will they really give the horsepower and torque increases Solo claims? Combined with the GMPP tune, that would be horsepower beyond 300.
