Hey everyone,

So these past couple of months, I've noticed a very mild yet foul musty odor and at first I thought maybe it was my top that smelled mildewy. But my top doesn't really reek of mildew. I'm not sure of the source, but when my vents are open(air conditioning is turned off and all) the air just kinda smells funky like mold or mildew.

Does anyone have any ideas of what it could be? I haven't seen many threads about this exact problem or how anyone has solved it.

I'm going to try buying a baking soda box and putting it in my car to absorb the smell, but I would like to figure out where the source of the smell is so I can clean or replace whatever is causing that odor.

Check the passenger side floor carpeting. Some have reported water leaks collecting in that area.

If it's coming from the vents you probably have mold on the air conditioner evaporator (common with some GM cars) To fix you need to take it to a place like Rad Air or the dealer and they can clean it up .
